malignant fibrous histiocytoma

Malignant fibrous hystiocytoma (MFH) is a soft tissue sarcoma found mostly (70%-75%). in the extremities. It appears as a mass of large and painless glandular tumor of soft tissue. MFH is found mostly in white people, during fifth and sixth decade of life. Hematogenous metastasis is found more often. For definitive diagnosis, incisional biopsy was needed, and its existence is detected using with CT-Scan/MRI. Clinical diagnosis requires GTNM staging system. MFH is not responsive to adjuvant therapy, therefore the first surgical operation is crucial in defining the patient prognosis.
